Uniformsuniforms

Dress Code

The dress code at First Lutheran School is intended to create a school environment where students from Kindergarten to 8th grade are neatly and uniformly dressed (dress code does not apply to ECE students).

Uniforms…

  • Simplify dressing and the dress code
  • Reduce peer pressure and social stigmas
  • Encourage distinctions of character and personality instead of appearance
  • Place emphasis on learning, not clothing
  • Equalize economic diversity
  • Lower long-term clothing costs
  • Allow for cohesive presentation as a group

Purchasing

Uniforms for FLS can be purchased at Educational Outfitters, All Things Identification, or you may purchase shirts from a local store and bring them to school so we can have them embroidered for you. Cost is $4.50 per shirt. Please allow 2 weeks for delivery of embroidered shirts.

We also have many pre-owned uniform shirts, pants, sweaters, skirts, etc. in our school Uniform Store, located upstairs next to the library. These items have been inspected and are approved for school use. Each item is a $1 donation, which supports the student reward program. Shopping is done on the honor system, with donations accepted at the school office.

Pick up a complete dress code policy at the school office.
